
Drawn to the Light Welcomes BTA Winners Rae Atkin and Pete Bird to the Full-Time Team
Drawn to the Light is delighted to announce the appointment of two familiar collaborators to their full-time studio team. Pete Bird joins as Junior Studio Associate, having worked with Drawn to the Light as a freelancer since August following his graduation from LIPA. Pete was named Lighting Newcomer of the Year 2023 at the Production Futures Breakthrough Talent Awards, recognising his early impact within the industry. Prior to graduating, he gained experience working within lighting teamson major productions including The BRIT Awards and the Eurovision Song Contest. Since joining DTTL, Pete has contributed across a wide range of projects, including development work with Imagination for McLaren Automotive, and has progressed from drafting support into a broader studio associate role. Rae Atkin joins Drawn to the Light as Draftsperson, stepping into the role after freelancing withthe studio since October. Rae was a Production Futures Breakthrough Talent Award winner in 2022, after which she joined Flare Lighting as a Lighting Associate, predominantly working across live music and events. She now brings that experience into DTTL’s growing drafting team, supporting projects across live events and bespoke installations.
