Production Futures Launches Breakthrough Talent Awards 2025
Production Futures has announced that nominations are now open for its Breakthrough Talent Awards 2025. The BTA's recognise the achievements of newcomers across the production industries and seek to inspire future generations. With the support and sponsorship of key industry partners the Awards cover twenty-one different categories, reflecting the diversity of opportunity within the production industries. 70 previous winners have gone on to enjoy flourishing careers with a wide range of companies or have taken up roles as in-demand freelancers with the skills and confidence to meet any challenge.
A keen sponsor of the Breakthrough Talent Awards is leading independent lighting, rigging, and control supplier for the UK land Europe, Neg Earth Lights, whose Head of Marketing Anna Gould comments:
“We are delighted to be once again sponsoring the Breakthrough Talent Award. We believe in nurturing and developing young talent. Working closely with Production Futures we are contributing to growth and innovation within the industry by running the Next Gen placement programme, which creates opportunities for young people to gain real-life work experience. We recognise the importance of passing on knowledge, experience, and opportunities, to ensure a thriving and sustainable production community for years to come.
Hannah Eakins of Production Futures is excited about the launch and welcomes back another key sponsor:
“We’re excited to be opening the nominations for the Breakthrough Talent Awards for 2025. The Awards will once again be centred on ‘access and opportunity’ with winners’ prizes going beyond the traditional ‘trophy’ to include mentoring with leading industry professionals, training, work opportunities, travel bursaries to ISE and more. We ask companies, colleges, universities and colleagues to put forward nominations and also encourage newcomers to nominate themselves!
“Production Futures is again delighted to have ISE on our list of valued sponsors for this year’s awards. Earlier this year we took part in ISE’s Fast Forward Friday initiative where our ‘Future is Bright’ panel, hosted by Richard Wear, featured five of last year’s Breakthrough Talent Award winners who had been provided with bursaries by ISE and our sponsors to enable their attendance. They shared experiences, stories and advice about how to navigate the path from newcomer to established professional, and were very well-received by everyone at the show. We’re excited by the opportunity to forge closer ties between this global leading show and the emerging industry talent”
Mike Blackman, Managing Director, Integrated Systems Events adds:
“We are delighted to be working with Production Futures. Introducing young people to the diverse career pathways within the production industry is a valuable addition to our show, and further reinforces our commitment to elevating the profile of the live events sector within Integrated Systems Europe. This collaboration follows a successful launch in 2025, and now serves as a key component of our Fast Forward Friday next generation career and skills development programme. We believe this partnership will offer meaningful benefits to both attendees and exhibitors alike.”
