Hannah Eakins CEO at Production Futures comments:
“We’re absolutely thrilled to be hosting our first ever central London event at such a fantastic venue. As well as being a wonderful iconic performance space, the Roundhouse does incredible work providing opportunities for youngsters through its dynamic youth programme, so we will definitely be in the company of kindred spirits at the event.
“Since 2022 our ON TOUR events have seen us work with seventy-five industry partners across a host of major shows across the UK, attended by thousands of young people and industry newcomers. Our partners, who comprise world-leading manufacturers, supply and production companies, venues and distributors, provide advice, information and insights, and discuss specific job and training opportunities.
“As well as manufacturers and suppliers, we also work closely with a range of organisations, initiatives, education partners and associations, connecting employment and training opportunities to a diverse pool of talent. They also have representatives available to answer questions and offer support.”
Tina Ramdeen, Associate Director of Young People at Roundhouse, adds:
“We are delighted to be hosting Production Futures at the Roundhouse in March next year. Every year the Roundhouse’s state-of-the-art creative spaces provide unique opportunities for over 10,000 young people to engage with the arts, from music and theatre to broadcast and production. Through this we work to raise awareness of career opportunities within the creative sector and support young people from underrepresented backgrounds to progress into work experience and paid opportunities within the industry. Hosting Production Futures’ first central London event is therefore so important and we look forward to working with them on a memorable event in March.”
The free event will be open to colleges and universities across London and the South-East, as well as young freelancers who are looking to transfer skills, make contacts and find work opportunities. As well as allowing young people and newcomers to attend the event free of charge, Production Futures also makes available a number of group travel bursaries for organisations and educational institutions.
