Manchester Mayor Backs Production Futures AO Arena On Tour Event

Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham has offered his support for Production Futures’ forthcoming ON TOUR event at the city’s AO Arena. The free-of-charge event which takes place on April 28th is set to attract a wide range of young people from across the North-West of England, and promotes employability, transferable skills, diversity, free training, networking, and paid work opportunities to newcomers across the live event and broadcast production industry.

This will be Production Futures second visit to the AO Arena following last year’s hugely successful event which was attended by a host of world-leading manufacturers, supply and production companies, venues and distributors. Andy Burnham, who also visited last year’s event, comments:

“Greater Manchester has a proud history of creativity and innovation in live events and production. It’s fantastic to see Production Futures returning to the AO Arena, opening doors for the next generation to develop the skills and careers that will keep our city at the forefront of this exciting industry.”

Hannah Eakins of Production Futures:

“Even bigger and better than last year, our packed schedule includes talks, inspiring special guests, panel discussions and workshops, as well as the chance to discuss opportunities in person with experienced industry professionals. Our young visitors will also be able to enjoy hands-on exploration of things like lighting programming, audio engineering, CAD, and stage design. We are so grateful to the AO Arena, which represents everything that is great about our industry, for opening their doors to us and giving us their continued support.”
